About Me

I thought teaching special education was my dream job until I taught in public schools in Memphis and St. Louis and saw some highly concerning practices.

At times I was encouraged and even forced to use behavior intervention methods that made me uncomfortable and triggered my students.

So I packed up my classroom and now I get to teach neurodivergent people on my own terms. I do not believe in one-size-fits-all, but here are some of the methods I pull from:

Child-Led Play

SkillStreaming

Conscious Discipline
Greenspan FloorTime

But mostly I use good, old fashioned love, connection, and attunement to get to know people and how their brains work, then I help them grow from there.

It turns out teaching is still my dream job!
